Young Hunter comes to Sol Collective Dec. 5th

Sol Collective proudly presents Young Hunter as they embark on their second West Coast Tour of 2012. Young Hunter will be supported by local acts Times of Desperation, ESS, and Damian Webb on Wednesday December 5th.

Young hunter is a seven piece Doom Psych band from Tucson, Arizona. Young Hunter’s music channels the calming, isolating and unpredictable nature of the desert. Dual lead vocals from Benjamin Blake and Julia DeConcini give an additional dynamic sound to the heavy and desolate layered guitars tones. Their debut full length album Stone Tools is a tale of a dying world whose inhabitants have become disconnected to the land. A haunting wind blows through the landscape, clearing the dust leaving the listener isolated in a world of greed and corruption.

ESS is the new project by Sacramento musician Jesse Phillips. ESS is a 5 piece dynamic Doom Folk project whose live performances are something not to miss. ESS’ live performance is a seamless journey that opens to a assault of heavy tones which slowly fade into a emotional shoegaze, then the band slowly brings up the intensity but quickly leave the viewer suspended in desolate sounds.  You can stream and purchase their debut album at your own price at
